Default Is there any book discuss behavioral modeling in detail?

I read Verilog HDL(1st edition). Chap 7 discusses behavioral
modeling But I think it's very concise. I also read Behavioral
Compiler Verilog User and Modeling Guide(Synopsys). Chap 11 of this
guide talks about the coding guidelines. But I'm not fully understand
the reasons I should following these guidelines.
Could somebody introduce a book to a beginner, while the book isn't
too concise?
Best wishes,
