Default MGT

what is the procedure to be followed to run MGT of Virtex2 Pro on
modelsim5.8b (for windows XP operating system). Is there any packages
to be included or model sim SE 5.8b version and project navigator 6.2i
supports it.

You need SWIFT support which is available with EE version I believe.

Modelsim SE has the swift support.
