Default Nyquist Lth band digital filter... IPlease!! ... I need answers

Hello everybody

Before I ask my question I want to tell everybody that I'm new in th
area of DSP. Now, here is my question: Can somebody tell me why th
"Nyquist Lth band digital filter" is better than the "raised cosine one"?
Or perhaps, somebody can tell me what are the good and bad features of bot
filters?

thanks for your help!!

Victor

First of all, don't rely on usenet groups for answres.
People here help out on an arbitrary basis. You should
check the literature yourself.

Second, it might help if you give a hint about what this
Nyquist Lth-band filter might be. This is the first I hear
of it, and judging from the responses you have got so far,
it isn't too well known amongst the rest of the readers either.

"Rasied cosine" is a specific example of one particular kind of
"Nyquist filter".

In other words, your question is like asking which is better red or
color?
