Electronics Design Engineer - Digital, Analogue, FPGA Bedfordshire Electronics Design Engineer : An experienced Electronics Design Engineer is required to join a well known Defence sector Engineering company in Bedfordshire. Electronics Design Engineer Responsibilities: Design and development of electronic circuitry (includes, analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques). Electronic circuit simulation and analysis. Specification and selection of electronic components. Schematic Capture and associated PCB layouts. Testing and evaluation of electronic circuits and components. Preparation of FMEA’s and design validation documentation. Preparation of review documentation. Working within the Product Development Processes (PDP) for Electronic Hardware design, which provides the guidance, instructions and controls needed to deliver a high end product. The ability to produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation to final assembly instructions Communicating with internal functions, to ensure all views are gauged and understood before, during and after delivery of the detailed design Electronics Design Engineer Required Skills Electronics Hardware Design and Product Development for Harsh Environments. Firmware Development using C code, test and debug Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Altium Designer EMC Awareness Digital and Analogue Electronics Design Microprocessor Design and Interfaces, both digital and analogue. FPGA Design and Verification Embedded I/O interface design Differential/Single Ended/Safety Discrete interfaces. FMEA and Component stress analysis Derivation of Sub-system architectures and requirements from System requirements Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration and Test Desired Skills: Altium Designer JTAG Design and Programming Firmware coding using C VHDL Electronics Product Design and Development for Harsh Environments Understanding of PCB layout techniques related to Harsh Environments Awareness of DO-254 and IEC61508 Design techniques for complex programmable Logic devices.
