FPGA Design Engineer - Dublin, Ireland

The NOW Factory is currently looking for strong FPGA Design Engineer’s to join the hardware development team. The hardware development team is part of a cross-functional engineering department that designs telecommunications equipment that include high speed Network Processors, FPGAs, XDSL, Wired and Wireless Telecommunication network interfaces.

As the ideal candidate, your duties will include:

• Research hardware design solutions
• Designing circuit implementations in FPGA's as part an overall hardware design of Voice and Data system architectures incorporating the latest generations of processing and network devices
• Reviews of Customer Requirements and Specification
• Generation of Product and Hardware requirement specifications
• General design reviews and problem resolution
• Prototype verification

You will also have the following skills

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Some exposure to the financial services sector or business related qualification
• Very strong and relevant experience in FPGA's and hardware design
• Experience in high-speed digital design
• High degree of innovation and creativity
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with network processors, SRAM, Flash, DATA and Telecommunication communication interfaces such as GBit Ethernet, XDSL, ISDN, Wireless, Telecom and data network interfaces
