Hi All,
Todd is correct. IBM developed the first AMI model in partnership with
Cadence. We implemented this model in a 6 Gbps Simulation Kit nearly two
years ago. A paper was presented on this subject by Donald Telian in
DesignCon2009, which was co-authored by Hitachi and IBM (New Serial Link
Simulation Process, 6 Gbps SAS Case Study). However as I recently found
out, Cadence still does not have Out-of-Box support for IBIS-AMI models,
although it may be available soon.

[SI-LIST] Re: IBIS-AMI Vendor Support Help
All,
I need to point out that IBM drove the development of the IBIS-AMI
standard and delivered the first IBIS-AMI models. IBM had compliant
models ready before IBIS 5.0 was approved in August 2008. Xilinx is a
definitely driving demand for IBIS-AMI adoption, but IBM delivered
models first.
If you are at DesignCon 2010, I invite you to attend our Thursday
paper on IBIS-AMI model correlation to simulation and measurement
(9AM, session 7-TH1), which is co- authored by SiSoft and IBM.
Todd.
