Default MAX II CPLD(fpga ?) Board

Hi,
Anyone who wants to start(beginers) working on PCI, USB can have a
look at Altera's
MAX II Development Kit(they also supply some pci and usb reference
designs).
This is the lowest pci usb combo board that i have seen. Any way it's
worth
to have a look.
