Default ISE 8.1, EDK 8.1 any pre-release info available?

Hi

as the ISE 8.1 is expected this months and EDK 8.1 in December I wonder if
some pre release info is already available, eg what is improved, etc..

specially EDK, if there are new cores added

OPBor PLB DDR2 core as example, is it 8.1?

Antti

Just a thought
- Shouldn't Xilinx have Antti on their Beta testing program ?

I'm hoping for:

* supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (vs. RHEL3)
* Parallel Cable 4 and Platform Cable USB support on Linux 2.6.x
* Parallel Cable 4 and Platform Cable USB support on 64-bit Linux
* ISE Simulator on Linux

But I don't have any information about 8.1i, so I have no idea whether they've
done any of that.

Gee, I'm just hoping they didn't break anything. It took 4 service packs
to get 7.1 to a usable state.

Obviously I'd hope so too. Correctness is more important to me than
new features. It's a shame that this isn't true of mainstream
software purchasers (or at least that the software vendors don't think
it is).
