FPGA Central

I have a TMS320F2812 device and an easy task at first - to receive
analog signal from the frequency generator on the computer in digital
form. But I have no experience in DSP at all (I'm just a programmer)
and I have no idea how to begin. I started to read TI docs, but I
assume that it will be a long way - from reading docs to doing
something, because there are tons of them. So I'm looking for some
practical guides, tutorials, sources, schemes etc. If somebody here
works with TMS320F2812 I will be very grateful if you reply.

I have almost the same status as you. How do you start your DSP study?
I just suppose to read "CPU and Instruction Set" first. Cuz I think
the first should be to know the hardware of DSP.
