Hi.

I have searched all the links below and also had a look at
http://www.bdti.com/faq but couldn't find any actual source
code example that would implement either of the suggested
approaches (YIN, Tartini, HPS, AC or even ZCR)

Anyone would know?

Well, that *is* source code but I couldn't infer from
either the readme or casual browsing what this thing is
even supposed to do?

Check out procplc.m here:

It appears to use the autocorrelation method. I prefer the
Gold Pitch Tracker -- smoother result. It is trivial to take
Gold's paper and code it up.
