Order of the channel model used in ADSL simlulation

Hello everybody,

I have a problem in my term project.

How to specify the order of the channel model in my ADSL transceiver
simulation? I'm told that it is sufficient to assume the order equals
to the number of sub-carriers. I think the order is related to the
delay spread of the channel and the sampling rate.

Anybody can give me some details?
