Default The Hand-held Universal Translator is here!

From NEC in Japan - well it only translates Japanese-English at present but
would we ever have envisaged such a device in the late 1960s (I think?) when
Star Trek first appeared. I expect it is a little rough and ready at present
but in another 5 years...Science fiction becomes Science Fact!

Portable Universal Translator = Laptop with wireless networking and a basic
understanding of the internet and a search engine.
