In case any member sof this group are interested, there is a British
Computer Society meeting on multi-core processors, on 10th October in
London. The meeting has a session on multi-core processors for embedded
(and DSP) applications. (I am giving a short talk based on some of the
NXP Semiconductors software architectures that target multi-core
processors.)
The BCS Parallel Processing Group has historically been more interested
in distributed computing than in embedded multi-core and DSP devices,
and I suggested they address the embedded and DSP domains, so I hope
some DSP engineers might turn up. :-)
