View Full Version : How can MPEG-2 BC audio compliance test sequences be used in stereo decoding?

ISO/IEC 13818-4 provided 35 compliance test sequences (test01.mpg ~
test34.mpg). Most of them are encoded in multichannel such as 3/2, 3/1
and so on, and the reference decoded signals in .pcm files are saved in
separate channels (such as left, right, center, left surround, right
surround and so on). If my MPEG-2 BC audio decoder is designed in
MPEG-1 compatible, i.e., decoding multichannel bitstream in dual
channels through downmixing, how can I use these reference .pcm files
(usually 5 .pcm files) to do the compliance test in 2 channels? Thanks.
