Hi Group,
Can someone here please point me to a good beginner's( introductory)
book / or a weblink on " Infinite dimensional vector spaces" for
Signal processing & communication purposes.
Book/ links understandable by engineers rather than a mathematics
majors will be much helpful.

thanks
Hemanth

I don't know which part of linear operator theory is needed by
communication engineers. For our (mathematics major) class, we were
suggested to take the Dunford & Schwartz book(s). This and some others
can be viewed here:

http://topics.practical.org/browse/Linear_operators

We used it for finding solutions to PDE's (numerical analysis) and for
linear operator analysis (mainly used in quantum mechanics). Where do
you need it in communciation theory?
