I have a Motorola evaluation module for DSP56002. Debugger runs under DOS
and controls EVM card by using PC´s serial port.
I developed a measuremet system, where Matlab controls debugger. It worked
ok under Windows95. But when moving to Windows98 problems started. Debugging
was extremely slow and nowdays with my Win2000 and Windows XP the
arrangement doesn´t work at all. I do need Windows for running my system and
old Windows95 is not an option any more.
It seems that debugger control PC serial port in a way that is not
compatible with newest Windows versions?
Does anyone have solved the problem? Has f.ex. a debugger that runs under
windows or any piece of software that emulates serial ports right for pure
DOS-based programs like my debugger is?
