BT is 802.15.
The waveforms aren't even close to compatible, so the general means of
sensing each other for avoidance is just energy detection. Since the
ISM band is unlicensed energy detection is more general, anyway, since
an interferer may be a cordless phone or any other device compliant to
the ISM rules.
