I don't believe starting a new usenet newsgroup would be fruitful. As
I stated before, the topics you mentioned all come within the charter
of comp.dsp, in my opinion.
Secondly, there is no such thing as "free hosting for a usenet."
There is probably some misunderstanding on your part of how
usenet news works. You can find out more by reading
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet
However, in a nutshell, usenet news is distributed to all
newsservers. The usenet standard has defined a mechanism by which
articles are propagated from server to server. So, in theory, if a new
group is defined, all usenet servers will begin carrying the group and
the messages within.
Let me turn the question around and ask you, what is wrong with using
comp.dsp as the forum for your questions? I believe there would be
more than a few people here interested in discussing the sort of
topics you've mentioned.
