It looks like flinger takes MIDI files as input, not ASCII files with
musical annotation. Basically, what I want is to create a file along
the lines of:

Ma(E)-ry(D) had(C) a(D) lit(E)-tle(E) .....

to get a sung version of the song. I don't care about the synax of the
ASCII file.
