Knowing your FPGA's performance is important in understanding the
performance of your system. Stratix III FPGAs deliver the industry’s
highest performance with a 600-MHz core and high-performance DSP and
internal memory capabilities. Stratix III FPGAs include optimized I/O
interfaces with LVDS at 1.25 Gbps, and they are the only FPGAs that
support DDR3 SDRAM memory interfaces at 400 MHz.
This net seminar discusses the 65-nm Stratix III fabric and I/O architecture, as well as the award-winning Quartus® II
software. Additionally, this net seminar highlights the relative
performance of the competing Virtex-5 FPGAs and the benchmarking
methodology used in obtaining these results.
