Future Proof with Triple-Rate SDI

Webcast Vendor:
Altera

Future Proof with Triple Rate SDI Net Seminar

1080p is referred to as full HD video. This is the highest level of
resolution the standards enable and is free of the complexity and
motion errors associated with interlace formats. Yet, the vast majority
of studios recording in HD today do so in 720p or 1080i formats due to
the lack of technology and equipment to support 1080p. Altera enables a
low-risk upgrade to 1080p now by offering triple-rate SDI solutions
with support for SDI/HD-SDI/3G SDI.

In this QuickCast you’ll learn how to:

  • Future-proof your broadcast designs with 1080p support
  • Get to market quickly by leveraging Altera’s complete triple-rate
SDI solutions: FPGA devices supporting up to 20 SDI channels, IP, and
    development kits.
  • Use Cyclone III FPGAs in conjunction with external ASSPs to enable low-channel count 3G SDI solutions.
