ElementCXI was founded in April 2004 as the next-generation
semiconductor company. It is based on the realization that the delivery
of IC (integrated circuit) innovation had slowed while the need for
true innovation in an ever changing world needs to accelerate. ElementCXI
has combined the best of hardware, software, reliability and architectural
efficiency to develop the next wide-spread computing technology and
business model.

ElementCXI is designing a general purpose processing platform suitable
for any processing application. Element CXI’s initial focus is on these
market opportunities:

• Automotive electronics (telematics, communications, engine
  controllers)
• Consumer wireless communications (handsets and PDAs)
• Networking (data compression, encryption/decryption)
• Converging markets of digital imaging and 3D graphics (cameras,
  video, and analysis).
