On July 5, 2005 Avnet, Inc. announced it had completed its acquisition of Memec Group Holdings Limited. Avnet’s Electronics Marketing group has created Avnet Memec, a series of additional semiconductor-focused divisions, located in each of its four regions: Americas, EMEA, Asia and Japan. Although supplier franchises may vary across regions, all Avnet Memec divisions, worldwide, will continue to deliver the world-class engineering services that have led the industry.
