Created in 1995, 4i2i Communications Ltd is a leading provider of digital signal processing IP core designs targeted at communications applications, with a focus on multi-standard motion video coding solutions including H.261/3, MPEG2, MPEG4 and H.264. 4i2i licenses IP cores (in the form of VHDL and Verilog), as well as PC and embedded software. Complex system-on-chip designs can be realised by combining 4i2i’s hardware and software encoding/decoding functions.
