SMT8121 - 6U cPCI/PXI UWB Radio Transceiver
UWB-1000 is designed specifically for the implementation of demanding algorithms for high-performance software defined radios.
Built on Sundance’s modular and scalable multiprocessing concept, the UWB-1000 rapid prototyping development platform features four 1GHz C6416T processors and three Xilinx FPGA devices dedicated to DSP acceleration tasks.
Each DSP processor has access to its own SDRAM memory bank. The system includes a total of 320MBytes SDRAM allocated to the DSPs and 256MBytes DDR SDRAM directly connected to the large Xilinx FPGA.
Additionally, each dual ADC and DAC channels are interfaced to a Xilinx Virtex-4 SX35 (XC4VSX35) device with the capacity to implement FPGA IP Cores to perform real-time data conversion, filtering and signal processing.
