Product Description: 

DP4 is a Xilinx FPGA development board aimed particularly for video and audio processing applications, for example in security, broadcast, medical, instrumentation, RF or consumer electronics.

The heart of the board is a Xilinx XC3SD3400A FPGA which offers 53,715 logic elements, 2.268k Block RAM bits and 373k distributed RAM bits, 126 DSP48As and 8 DCM clock managers.

On board peripherals include a 27MHz crystal oscillator, 5 push buttons, an ADI AD9981 video front end processor, ADI AD1936 audio codec, two ADI AD9765 dual 12 bit general purpose DACs, ADI AD9238 dual 12 bit ADC and Gennum GS9002 SDI formatter and driver. In addition two I/O expansion connectors are provided which can be used for the connection of an LCD display, BT656 compatible peripherals or for general purpose I/O. The FPGA can be configured using the Xilinx 14 way JTAG connector which is also used to program the on-board FLASH device which can be used to configure the FPGA for stand-alone operation.

There are on-board linear power supplies to optimize the signal to noise ratio of the ADCs and DACs; the board requires a single 9V DC input from the supplied AC-DC converter.
