With the CHIPit Gold Edition you can bridge the gap between Rapid Prototyping and ICE (In-Circuit Emulation) easily. Rapid prototyping boards are always used when designs with higher speed have to run in the real environment or when a small number of boards have to be distributed for test purposes amongst multiple users. Commonly emulators work at relatively low frequencies but allow the visibility of all the internal signals. The CHIPit Gold Edition delivers parts of both and closes the existing gap. Besides the system is characterized by extensive memory resources and expansion options and because of the size the optimal solution for Firmware/Software development.

Highest Speed for Real-Time Verification
The modular prototyping system is designed for ASIC and/or FPGA designs with the size of up to 1.1 M ASIC gates at an operating frequency of up to 200 MHz. The system offers developers real-time speed, real-time debugging, and full ASIC functionality during ASIC prototyping and is used in particular in developments in the multimedia field.
The CHIPit Gold Edition is characterized in that it allows operation in "stand-alone mode" because of its own power supply and management and control system. Because of its high efficiency and the adaptability of additional peripherals, the CHIPit Gold Edition is used especially in the area of "real-time prototyping" and in-circuit emulation in which high speeds must be achieved.
