FPGAPRO_2x3 extends a HAPS system with an additional FPGA. It is basically a quarter of a full HAPS-20 board with a Virtex-II Pro 70 or -100 device in a 1704-pin package.
In addition to the ordinary 2x3 grid of connectors, the FPGA has two additional off-grid HAPS connectors. They are designed to fit with the PCIX board, but are suitable for any daughter board or HAPS cable.
The board has 20 Rocket I/O channels available in separate connectors for fast off-board communication.
The board can be configured from the on-board configuration PROMs or from a JTAG cable. It can be chained with the motherboard for Compact FLASH configuration.
The FPGA can be clocked from the HAPS connectors, from the Rocket I/O connectors or from 6 coax connectors. The coax connectors can be fed from the output clocks on the motherboard or by external sources. They can also be used as clock outputs and feed the global inputs on the motherboard.

FPGAPRO_2x3 can also be used as a stand-alone prototyping board, without the motherboard.
