Nallatech PCIe280 board install drivers (centOS 5.7)

Hi all,

I have limited experience with FPGA's (I did a little bit of work with SGI's RC-100 Blade). My department at the university has purchased a Nallatech PCIe-280 board which has a virtex-5 lx220t. I am having problems getting the drivers working, and I find Nallatechs support line is pretty slow.

Basically the driver fails to install properly, the rpm -ihv nalla_pcie280-1.1-8.x86_64.rpm call causes the system to freeze-up entirely (cant even ssh from another machine). The output is,

Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
1:nalla_pcie280 ########################################### [100%]
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/build SUBDIRS=/usr/share/nallatech/pcie280/nalla_pcie280_driver/src modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [modules] Error 2
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/build SUBDIRS=/usr/share/nallatech/pcie280/nalla_pcie280_driver/src modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [modules] Error 2
cp -fv nalla_pcie280.ko /lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/kernel/drivers/char
`nalla_pcie280.ko' -> `/lib/modules/2.6.18-274.el5/kernel/drivers/char/nalla_pcie280.ko'
cp nalla_pcie280.h /usr/include/linux
cp nalla_pcie180.h /usr/include/linux

and this is where is freezes. I should note that I have done plenty of driver installs for other pieces of hardware before and never had the kind of pain that I have had with this board. Has anyone had experience with this board? I am using CentOS 5.7 64 bit.

Thanks in advanced,

Dave
