My name is Praveen. I am a B-Tech Graduate in Electronics and Communication from Cochin University of Science and Technology. At present I am pursuing a PG-Diploma in VLSI design from Sandeepani which is the authorized training center of Xilinx and Mentor Graphics. Here I have done a project in building up an UART which is capable of operating at a system clock of 24MHz and a baud rate of 115Khz. My role in this project was Design and Coding. The tools which i used for this project are Xilinx ISE Project Navigator 9.1i, Mentor Graphics Model Sim 6.1e, Leonardo Spectrum 2005. At present i am making an IBM Power PC hard core Processor in which I am integrating an IP Core of my UART module. The tools which i am using for the extension are Xilinx Platform Studio 9.1 and Xilinx ISE Project Navigator. Presently I am working on it now. I also have a basic knowledge in the backend side. I have made the schematic and layout of all the basic gates using IC Station and Design Architect of Mentor Graphics and flow for DRC, LVS and PEX were carried out.
