Mentor Graphics Technology Day 2012 - Ankara, Turkey
Overview
Join CDT and Mentor Graphics at this free seminar at the Crown Plaza in Ankara for full day of solutions flows from PCB, FPGA and Wire Harness to standards. You can choose the track that is most interesting to you upon registering. See below for more details on each of the tracks:
Harness Flow:
The creation of electrical schematics, harness drawings & harness manufacturing reports is a big challenge for many companies. Mentor Graphics provides an advanced set of design tools built for electrical & wire harness design, used worldwide by aerospace, automotive, & harness makers large & small. Attend this track and learn:
*How to streamline the electrical design process from wiring diagram to harness drawing
*How to create wiring and harness designs (hands-on training)
PCB Flow:
PCB designs grow increasingly complex and challenging with each technological advance. Mentor Graphics offers an unrivaled portfolio of leading-edge PCB design technologies that provide real-world value in the world of High-Speed Design, Design for Manufacturing, Advanced Layout and Routing, and more. Attend this track and learn:
*How a complete PCB solution can help you in your PCB designs
*How to transfer PCB designs to manufacturing
FPGA Flow:
The highly competitive FPGA market leaves few differentiators between competing suppliers. Mentor Graphics has developed tools to speed design capture and acceleration to market. Tools that can generate graphics for documentation and debugging purposes also differentiate FPGA designs. Attend this track and learn:
*How to automate your verification flow, requirements tracking and implementation of fault-tolerant techniques
*How using vendor-independent HDL Synthesis improve implementation and provide multi FPGA vendor flows
Standards Flow:
IPC-7351B, Generic Requirements for Surface Mount Design and Land Pattern Standards, is supplemented by a suite of software tools composed of land pattern calculators and generators for the creation of new part libraries. LP Wizard, from Mentor Graphics, is the only CAD library generation tool officially approved by IPC to match the IPC-7351B standard. Attend this track and learn:
*IPC standards for library creation & PCB design
ILibrary management & IPC compliant solutions
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
1. Cengiz Oztunc
Cengiz Oztunc is Vice General Manager in DNZ which is an IPC Member company in Turkey. He graduated Physics, METU in 1989. He worked as middle level and high level manager for several companies in electrical and electronics fields. He established his own company DNZ in 2006 to give IPC and manufacturing process based trainings for electronics industry. He is an IPC Trainer and has background on R&D, manufacturing and quality control on electronics.
2. Neil Rattray
Neil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London, and has over 20 years experience in ASIC and FPGA design. He has worked a combined 8 years for several defense companies in the UK. From there he began his career in applications engineering for Actel and then Xilinx distributors, supporting customers across the UK and Ireland. He then worked for 7 years at Saros Technology supporting EDA products from several vendors, including Mentor. For the past 2 years Neil has worked for Mentor Graphics as an Application Engineer supporting a range of HDL and Functional Verification tools across Europe.
3. John Wilson
John is a product marketing manager at Mentor Graphics’ Integrated Electrical Systems Division (IESD). He worked for 11 years as an R&D manager with a leading European truck manufacturer, then with a knowledge-based software company for nine years in a variety of technical, sales, and marketing roles. In 1997 John founded a software company that developed tools for electrical design in the automotive and aerospace sectors. Mentor Graphics acquired his company and hired John in 2003.
4. Steve Gascoigne
