Xilinx Embedded Solutions Workshop - Bangalore, India
This Class will introduce you to both the Xilinx MicroBlaze and Xilinx Power-PC Embedded Processor Solutions using Xilinx Embedded Development Kit (EDK) 9.2i.
As part of this class you will learn how to build a complete customised MicroBlaze soft processor system, download to a target system board, and debug the running software.
Discussion on creating user defined peripherals, debugging techniques, and RTOS will also be presented.
Course Outline:
* Overview of Xilinx MicroBlaze
* Overview of Xilinx Embedded Power-PC
* Overview of the Hardware Development Environment (EDK)
* Lab 1: Build and Optimize an Embedded Processor System in Minutes
* Overview of the Software Development Environment
* Lab 2: System Debug and develop a simple Web-Server application
After completing this workshop, you will be able to:
* Create a Xilinx Platform Studio (XPS) project using Base System Builder (BSB)
* Compare software performance with/without a hardware offload engine
* Generate custom peripheral design templates using Create and Import Peripheral Wizard
* Write software driver of your own custom peripheral
* Build a processor system containing your custom peripheral to verify on board
