Conquering the "FPGA on Board" Mountain - Newbury, UK

Apr 2 2008 - 9:00am
Etc/GMT-8
Event/Conference Location:
Newbury, UK

Sometimes it feels as if a mountain exists between the FPGA and PCB
design worlds. That mountain is growing larger every day as new FPGA
devices with higher pin counts and new IO standards are introduced.
Intelligent design of the FPGA interface is a requirement to meet
leading edge system interface requirements such as DDR3. An FPGA
interface design without PCB process integration or PCB routing
consideration leads to increased PCB costs and extended design times.
Participating at this seminar will help you conquer FPGA on Board
design challenges.

The day will be launched with an opening address delivered jointly
by Altera and Mentor Graphics including an executive level discussion
of the latest in FPGA technology and the impact on design and the
ultimate impact on product profit margin.

Delegates will contribute to informal, round-table, breakout
discussions focused on how FPGA on Board issues are tackled in their
organisation. Delegates will learn best practices, glean new ideas and
identify costly pitfalls to avoid.

The day will be complemented with technical presentations of
available solutions by specialists from Mentor's System Design Divison
and delegates will have a great opportunity for a hands-on workshop to
experience an automated approach to leading edge interface design
requirements.

By attending this seminar, you will be confident to contribute to
your company's goals in minimizing PCB time-to-market and manufacturing
costs through the knowledge you will gain.
